Catherine Foster For over 25 years, Catherine's work has retained the imagery of fabric whether it is in painting, collage, sculpture or metal. "I find the process of weaving to be symbolic of our human existence, in our daily interaction with others and the world around us," says the artist. "Through the choices we make and how our lives intersect with others we are given spiritual opportunities to grow and better weave our own fabric of life." As an intuitive artist, Catherine has had dreams of helping to make a difference in the world in her small way. Her daily practice of Tai Chi and Qi Gong provide her with a sacred time each day before she steps into the art studio to play. In the studio she devotes her energy to her current creative fundraising project. The Peace Prevails Project is created with embossed painted metals with over 200 world languages saying ''Peace Prevails." Each piece has the woven world languages as a symbol and reminder of being the peace that we wish in the world. 10% of income from the Peace Prevails Project goes to ''The Power of Hope'' to help children from around the world.
