Joseph Brinton Joseph earned a B.F.A in ceramics from Alfred University in 1982. After that he became a goldsmith and then a designer for a fashion jewelry company. In 1987 he went out on his own and over time his business has grown with the help of his wife, business partner and creative collaborator, Marie Bliven. The team's creative ambition is to create a large variety of fun and interesting work at a reasonable price. They have fun doing it and hope it shows in their designs. Their work is composed of sterling silver or 14 kt. gold filled wires. Components are brass, copper, aluminum or nickel silver. Finishing processes include oxidation, epoxy resin, hammering, painting and forming. All items are designed by Joseph and Marie and assembled in their studio in Portland, Oregon.
